Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The Silver Pagoda......housed inside the Royal Palace. The floor is covered with 5000 silver tiles weighing 1 kg. each, in addition to crystal and marble. Initially constructed in wood in 1892 and then rebuilt in 1962; a beautiful structure, with stairs on the opposite side to walk to the top.
The National Museum of Cambodia with an amazing collection of Khmer sculptures, including displays from the Angkor Wat temples. The courtyard is a lush garden surrounded with ancient stone and bronze sculptures.
The Royal Palace, which houses a beautiful Silver Pagoda.
One of the preserved wall paintings inside the palace courtyards.
Matthew trying out a wooden elephant, just randomly placed on the sidewalk as we were walking back to our hotel.
Last but not least, one of my favorite types of photos (gotta love the street food.....NOT!) - crispy cooked tarantulas. A couple of gals were waiting patiently for over 10 minutes near this hawker stand for someone to actually buy some and eat it - they decided to give up when no one came by.....hmmmmm.
